Neal Communities Joins Imagine School's Walk For Technology

SARASOTA, Fla., May 26, 2011 – Neal Communities is partnering with Imagine School at Lakewood Ranch to help them raise funds to purchase Apple Tablets for students.  Neal Communities is contributing $500 to the school’s first Run-a-Thon/Walk-A-Thon, in which students and staff secured pledges for each minute they run or walk. The public charter school is completing its third year educating VPK through eighth grade students. During the 2011-2012 school year, Imagine will welcome 130 additional students, bringing its total enrollment to 730.

“We applaud Imagine School’s approach to educating our children. The school is an excellent addition to the Lakewood Ranch community,” says Neal Communities President Pat Neal. “Education is a priority for us, and we’re delighted to have this relationship with Imagine.”

The school is planning to use the funds raised to purchase iPads for the students. The hands-on technology is intended to help individualize student instruction and enhance the project-based learning program that sets Imagine apart.
