Neal Communities' Sales In July Are Maintaining Strong Momentum

SARASOTA, Fla., August 2, 2011 – Summer home sales continue to move at a record pace for Neal Communities, with July posting 35 signed contracts, on par with July 2010, when Neal opened the much-anticipated Central Park at Lakewood Ranch.

Celebrating its first anniversary in July, Central Park had another strong month of sales, capturing 12 of the 35 contracts, including 10 contracts over the birthday celebration weekend.  Additional strong sales were also reported at Forest Creek with a total of 7 contracts, followed by Belleisle and Sawgrass with 4 each. River Sound, Wisteria Park, and Country Club East had 2 each, with the final 3 going to Miramar, Mandalay, and Silverwood, each with 1 contract for July.

To-date, Neal continues to remain on pace to almost double the sales over 2010, with an average price of $270,578. Cash deals continue the yearlong trend, with 41% coming by homeowner financing with an uptick the last few months.
