This year, the students at Bradenton’s Tara Elementary School were chosen to show off their art skills.
Talented artists from kindergarten to fifth grade entered the contest by using different mediums to show what their favorite home would look like. This year’s entries included beautifully landscaped sceneries and colorful homes fit for a king and queen. There were even some aspiring builders in the group! Contestants from kindergarten and first grade built their homes from the ground up, using only the finest construction paper materials.
After the faculty and staff at Tara chose the top five finalists from each grade, a panel of celebrity judges, local VIPs, elected officials and Neal team members selected the winning design to be featured on Neal’s holiday card.
Neal invited the student finalists and their parents to a hosted breakfast at the school, where the winning designs were displayed and ribbons were awarded to each young artist. At the end of the event, Neal Communities was proud to present a $1,500 check to Tara Elementary in support of their art program. At Neal, we always love the opportunity to support our local communities, and we’re excited to unveil the winning artwork on our 2016 holiday card!
